50 DCLM Prayer Points Against Arrows of Mourning:

Biblical Exhortation:

Take heart! In Psalm 30:5, it’s written, “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”¹ Hold onto that truth. Even when sorrow feels heavy, God’s joy is on its way. Don’t let the arrows of mourning steal your hope.

Confession:

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge that at times, sorrow tries to overwhelm us. We confess any doubt or fear that allows mourning to take root in our hearts. We declare that we belong to you, and your joy is our strength. Forgive us for any way we have allowed darkness to overshadow your light in our lives. (In the name of Jesus, Amen.)

Please read Psalm 91: “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”² Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
