In a world full of societal unrest and violence, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or even defeated. But we must remember that as believers, we are called to stand as peacemakers and to bring God’s peace into the chaos. In Matthew 5:9, Jesus declares, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” We are empowered by the Holy Spirit to bring change to the places we live, not by might or power, but by God’s Spirit working in us. Let us not shrink back in fear or hopelessness, but rise up in prayer and action to bring the peace of Christ into every area of society.

   Confession:

Father God, I confess that I have been troubled and burdened by the violence and turmoil in the world. But I believe that You are the Prince of Peace, and Your power can bring peace where there is strife.
