Exhortation:

Hey there! Ever feel like you’re just going through the motions? Like that fire inside has dimmed a bit? Well, guess what? You’re not alone. Life throws curveballs, and sometimes we can find ourselves feeling a little…blah. But here’s the good news: that feeling doesn’t have to stick around! God’s got a plan for you, a vibrant, energetic plan filled with purpose. He wants you to be on fire for Him, passionate about your life, and engaged with the world around you. That spirit of apathy? It’s not from Him. Today, we’re gonna kick it to the curb and stir up that zeal within!

Confession:

Heavenly Father, we come before you today, acknowledging those times when we’ve felt Lukewarm, unmotivated, and indifferent. We confess those moments when the cares of this world or the weariness of life have caused our passion to wane. Forgive us for allowing the spirit of apathy to creep in and steal our joy and our drive. We recognize that this is not the abundant life you have promised us. We turn away from this spirit now and ask for your forgiveness and your strength to overcome it. In Jesus name, Amen.

Scripture Reading:

Turn with me to Romans 12:11-12: “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful¹ in prayer.”

Think about that for a second. “Never be lacking in zeal!” That’s a command, a call to action! God doesn’t want us to just coast through life. He wants us to be on fire, full of energy and enthusiasm as we serve Him. And how do we do that? By keeping our “spiritual fervor” – that inner passion for God – burning bright. We find joy in hope, we’re patient when things get tough, and we stay connected to Him through prayer. This is the antidote to apathy!

Let’s lift our voices and our hearts in praise! Think about all the amazing things God has done, all the blessings He’s poured out. Let’s sing with energy and gratitude for His goodness and His power! Let’s declare His greatness and invite His Spirit to fill us with renewed passion and purpose!
