50 DCLM Prayer Points Against the Spirit of Lacking Compassion:

Exhortation:

Beloved, the heart of God is overflowing with compassion. He sees our struggles, feels our pain, and extends His mercy to us daily. As followers of Christ, we are called to reflect this same compassion in our interactions with others. The Bible tells us to “be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32).¹ A lack of compassion hardens our hearts, blinds us to the needs around us, and hinders the flow of God’s love through us. Today, let us examine our hearts and ask the Holy Spirit to break down any walls of indifference and cultivate within us a genuine spirit of empathy and care for our fellow human beings. Let us strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus, reaching out with love and understanding to those who are hurting.

Confession:

Heavenly Father, we come before you acknowledging that we have fallen short of your standard of compassion. There have been times when we have been indifferent to the suffering of others, when we have turned a blind eye to their needs, and when our hearts have been cold and unfeeling. We confess the times we have prioritized our own comfort and convenience over extending a helping hand. We confess the moments we have judged others harshly without seeking to understand their struggles. Forgive us, Lord, for our lack of empathy and for the times we have failed to reflect your loving-kindness. Cleanse our hearts and create in us a renewed spirit of compassion, in Jesus name, Amen.

1. Every spirit of hardness of heart operating in my life, be uprooted and die, in Jesus name, Amen.
2. Every demonic influence causing me to be insensitive to the needs of others, loose your hold now, in Jesus name, Amen.
3. I break every covenant and agreement I have made with the spirit of indifference, in Jesus name, Amen.
4. Let the fire of God consume every seed of selfishness in my heart, in Jesus name, Amen.
5. I reject every spirit that makes me judgmental and critical of others, in Jesus name, Amen.
6. Father, grant me a heart that weeps for the broken and hurting, in Jesus name, Amen.
7. Let the love of God be shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name, Amen.
