Exhortation:

It whispers lies of busyness, procrastination, and false contentment, lulling us into a state of spiritual slumber. Today, I urge you to awaken from this slumber! Recognize the importance of consistent spiritual development. Hunger and thirst for righteousness, and diligently pursue a deeper relationship with God. Do not allow the cares of this world or the deceitfulness of sin to choke the seeds of faith within you. Let us resolve today to prioritize our spiritual growth and press on towards maturity in Christ.

Confession:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in humility, acknowledging our failures and shortcomings. We confess that we have often neglected our spiritual growth. We have allowed the distractions of this world, the desires of our flesh, and the busyness of life to take precedence over our relationship with You. We have not always diligently sought Your face in prayer, studied Your Word with diligence, or actively pursued opportunities for spiritual development. We have been lukewarm, complacent, and at times, even resistant to Your promptings for growth. Forgive us, Lord, for the times we have prioritized earthly things over eternal realities. Forgive us for the spiritual laziness that has hindered our progress in You. We turn away from this neglect now, and we desire to be fervent in spirit, serving You with all our hearts. We ask for Your grace and strength to cultivate a deep hunger for Your presence and a steadfast commitment to spiritual growth.
