Exhortation:

Hey friend, ever feel that little nudge inside, that whisper telling you to go your own way, to question every rule? That’s the spirit of rebellion trying to sneak in. It might seem small at first, like wanting to skip a chore or disagreeing with someone in authority. But unchecked, it can grow into a wall between you and God, between you and the blessings He has for you. Today, let’s choose a different path. Let’s choose humility, obedience, and the peace that comes from walking in God’s will. Remember, true strength isn’t found in fighting against everything, but in aligning ourselves with the One who loves us most.

Confession:

Father Lord, we come before you today, acknowledging the times we’ve allowed the spirit of rebellion to take root in our hearts. We confess the moments we’ve been stubborn, defiant, and unwilling to submit to your authority and the authority you’ve placed in our lives. Forgive us for the pride that has led us astray, for the times we’ve thought we knew better than you. We lay down our self-will and ask for your cleansing and renewal. (in Jesus name, Amen.)

Today, let’s read 1 Samuel 15:22-23:

“Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices
