Exhortation

Sinful associations are one of the major strategies the devil uses to derail believers from their divine destiny. The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 15:33 that “evil communications corrupt good manners.” Many destinies have been destroyed because of ungodly relationships, friendships, and alliances. As children of God, we must be discerning and courageous enough to reject any association that weakens our faith or leads us into temptation.

Lot followed Abraham and was blessed, but when he associated with Sodom and Gomorrah, he almost lost everything. Samson associated with Delilah, and his destiny was cut short. On the other hand, Joseph rejected the advances of Potiphar’s wife and remained in God’s purpose for his life.

The strength to reject sinful associations comes from the Holy Spirit, godly wisdom, and consistent prayer. As we cry out to God today, may He empower us to stand firm in righteousness and cut off every relationship that is not in His will.

1. Sing songs of consecration and total surrender to God.
2. Worship God for His mercy and grace that empowers us to live holy.
3. Magnify the name of the Lord for His strength that keeps us from falling.

Confess:
I am a child of God. I am not of this world, and I refuse to conform to the standards of the ungodly. I receive the wisdom and strength to reject every sinful association in my life. The Holy Spirit empowers me to walk in holiness and righteousness. No power of darkness shall manipulate my relationships. I declare that I will only walk with those who draw me closer to God.
