Exhortation

Beloved, the Spirit of Lukewarmness is one of the greatest weapons the enemy uses to sabotage the effectiveness of the believer and the work of the ministry. When a believer or a ministry becomes lukewarm, it loses its fire, zeal, and passion for the things of God. Lukewarmness breeds complacency, discouragement, and apathy, and it hinders the move of God in our lives and ministries. In Revelation 3:15-16, the Lord warned the Church of Laodicea that He would “spit them out” because they were neither hot nor cold. As you stand today, refuse to allow lukewarmness to steal your fire, your calling, and your anointing. Stir up the gift of God within you, press forward in prayer, worship, and the Word, and let the fire of revival burn bright in your life and ministry.

Reject the spirit of lukewarmness and embrace the fullness of God’s power and presence. Be diligent in your service to the Lord, and let your life and ministry be a flame of passion for God that others can see and be drawn to His glory.

I declare that I reject the spirit of lukewarmness in my life and ministry. I refuse to be complacent, apathetic, or indifferent toward my calling. I will not grow weary or discouraged, for my God is with me. I declare that the fire of the Holy Spirit will continually burn in me, bringing revival, passion, and zeal for His kingdom. I receive the grace to be fervent in spirit, to serve the Lord with all my heart, mind, soul, and strength. My ministry will not be ineffective or stagnant; I will advance the kingdom of God with power and glory. I break every stronghold of lukewarmness and embrace the fullness of God’s calling and purpose for my life.
